How Local Service Businesses Get More Leads Without Spending More

Five levers that lift lead volume from the traffic you're already paying for — no budget increase required.

Before you increase your ad spend, squeeze the traffic you already have. In most accounts there is 30–50% more lead volume sitting there unclaimed.

1. Fix response time first

Leads contacted within five minutes convert dramatically better than leads contacted the next day. If you do nothing else, do this.

2. Add call extensions and click-to-call

A large share of trade and clinic enquiries want to call, not fill in a form. Make the phone number tappable everywhere on mobile.

3. Build a dedicated page per service

One page per service, matched to the keyword, with its own headline and proof. This alone commonly doubles conversion rate on paid traffic.

4. Collect reviews systematically

Ask every happy customer, every time, with a direct link. Review count and rating influence both click-through rate on ads and conversion rate on site.

5. Follow up the leads that didn't book

A simple three-touch follow-up over ten days recovers enquiries you have already paid for. Most businesses give up after one call.

The cheapest lead you'll ever get is the one you already paid for and didn't follow up.
